The Night We Taught Ourselves To Sing

The debut album by The Volares was released in 1998 to a fair amount of critical acclaim; rave reviews were published in MOJO, MAGNET, and several indie pop magazines. The album begins with several extremely melodic power pop songs, and then transforms into a 'nightmare on Zep Island' experience, featuring long trance guitar workouts. Special guests on this release include Marty Willson-Piper of The Church, Julianne Regan from All About Eve, and David Tibet of Current 93.
